Went through the photos and found some randoms… It’s been a month since I came back… want to go back… =(

I wish grocery stores here sold soju the way Korea does… haha

O and I saw Jang Hyuk at Lotte Department Store… He’s by far one of my favorite actors in korea… while not SNSD - glad I got a Korean celeb sighting out of the trip! LOL!

So I apparently hit a limit as to # of pics I can upload on Tumblr… LOL anyhow… wanted to share a meal I had while I was on the road… HAN-U!!! Han-u is breed of cattle raised in Korea… It’s regarded for its high quality in taste and freshness (vs. the imports)… Well it was my first time having it… and it certainly didn’t disappoint!!!

Very pricey though… but it was definitely worth it! So crazy how Han-u is like 7-8x more expensive over a regular jjigae or noodle meals…

Last of Busan pics… the first photo in this group may be the best picture I took… (Top 5 for sure… lol)

Busan was so awesome. Food was amazing, amazing views throughout… definitely want to come back here when it’s warmer…

More pics from fish market…

I read it one of those guide books that I should checkout a view from this one particular area in Busan… You see the lower part of Busan in the pics have flashy lights and newer bldgs but on the higher part of the pics you see the yellow/orange color lights w/ houses instead of high-rise apts…

More pics of Haeeundae and Busan!

This post is to share w/ all the great food I had in Busan…

Soondooboo

Nakji bokkeum

Sashimi

Soju

More Sashimi (Sashimi and soju combination… Unforgettable)

Hoddeuk (It was different from regular ones… MAD GOOD)

Dae Gu Tang

Above all pics I took from top of Busan Tower. Busan is largest port city in Korea (also the 2nd largest city)… While the city features many high-rise and modern bldgs, it still has old school city feel to it.

Enjoy the view.

BUSAN!!!!!

Awesome awesome awesome city!!!

Above are pics of Haeeundae (yes where they film the movie!) and pics of and from Busan Tower… More pics to come…

Kyung Ju Part 2

Quick highlights - saw Shilla King’s graves… also visited Cheomseongdae. Cheomseongdae is oldest observatory in East Asia. It is also one of national treasures of South Korea. It was built during Shilla Kingdom days…

Busan pics next!

After my hike at Moongyengsaejae, I made my way down to KyungJu! Though I didn’t have a hotel room taken care of ahead of time, I was able to get a room at Hyundai hotel and spend the night there. I woke up and made my way out to BulGukSa and SeokBulArm, they are both very famous Korean tourist places. BulGukSa is one of the most famous temples in Korea, it’s home to several national treasures of Korea. You will see pics of Dabotap and Seokgatap stone pagodas above. This whole area was really scenic, I tried to capture it as much as possible…

So why did I come here of all places? Place is very dear to me! My parents and I took a trip here, one of last family vacations in Korea before moving to New Zealand… but there is a story… which I will only share in person, so if you want to know… ask me… HAH!

Moongyengsaejae part2

Nothing like makgulli and cup ramyun after a long hike! Y U M ! ! !
